Getting startedWhat is AI.Reply?+
AI.Reply is a free Chrome extension that writes Gmail replies for you in one click. It reads the email thread you're viewing and generates a complete, context-aware response — accept, decline, formal, guided or fully automatic.
Getting startedHow do I install AI.Reply?+
Open the AI.Reply listing on the Chrome Web Store, click 'Add to Chrome', and open Gmail. The AI.Reply buttons appear automatically inside your emails — no account setup required.
Getting startedIs AI.Reply really free?+
Yes — installing and using the core one-click reply experience is free. Check the Pricing page for details on plans and any premium capabilities.
Getting startedDo I need to create an account?+
No signup gymnastics. Install the extension and start replying. Your Gmail login is all you need.
Getting startedHow fast does it generate a reply?+
Typically 1–3 seconds, depending on thread length and your connection. Faster than typing 'Hope this finds you well.'
Getting startedDoes it work immediately after installing?+
Yes. Refresh any open Gmail tabs after installation and the AI.Reply toolbar appears in your emails right away.
Getting startedIs there a tutorial?+
Watch the 2-minute demo video on our homepage — it covers every feature. The interface is self-explanatory: open an email, click a button, get a reply.
FeaturesWhat is one-click reply?+
Open any email, click the AI.Reply button, and a complete reply appears in your compose box based on the full thread context. Review it, edit if you want, and send.
FeaturesWhat is Guided AI?+
You give a short hint — like 'agree but push the deadline to Friday' — and AI.Reply expands it into a polished, complete email in your chosen tone.
FeaturesWhat is Instant AI?+
Zero-input mode. AI.Reply reads the thread and drafts the reply it predicts you'd write, with no hint from you at all. Great for routine emails.
FeaturesWhat do the Accept and Decline buttons do?+
They generate purpose-built replies: Accept writes a gracious yes (confirming details from the thread), Decline writes a polite, professional no — the hardest email most people ever write.
FeaturesWhat is Formal mode?+
It forces professional, client-safe language: proper salutations, measured phrasing, formal sign-offs. Use it for bosses, clients, legal and HR.
FeaturesWhat is the Forward Assistant?+
When you forward an email, it writes a clean introduction explaining why you're forwarding it and what you need from the recipient — instead of a bare 'FYI'.
FeaturesWhat is the Compose Assistant?+
For brand-new emails: describe what you want in one line ('ask HR for a salary certificate') and AI.Reply writes the full email.
FeaturesCan it summarize long threads?+
Yes. AI.Reply condenses long conversations into a short summary so you get the context in seconds before replying.
FeaturesDoes it understand the whole thread or just the last message?+
The whole thread. Replies are built with full conversation context, so earlier commitments, names and details are reflected correctly.
FeaturesCan I save templates?+
Yes — save your best replies as reusable templates and apply custom sign-offs so every email ends the way you want.
FeaturesCan I edit the AI's reply before sending?+
Always. The reply lands in your compose box as an editable draft. Nothing is ever sent without you clicking send.
FeaturesCan it match my writing tone?+
You control tone through the intent buttons (formal, friendly, accept, decline) and Guided AI hints. The output adapts to the register of the thread.
FeaturesDoes it work in languages other than English?+
AI.Reply performs best in English. It can often handle other major languages — try it on your own emails and see.
Privacy & securityIs my email private?+
Yes. Email content is processed only to generate the reply you request. We don't store your emails, sell your data or use your messages to train AI models. See our privacy policy for full details.
Privacy & securityDoes AI.Reply read all my emails?+
No. It only processes the thread you're actively viewing, and only when you click an AI.Reply button. It doesn't scan your inbox in the background.
Privacy & securityCan AI.Reply send emails without my permission?+
Never. It drafts; you send. Every reply is placed in your compose box for review first.
Privacy & securityIs my data used to train AI models?+
No. Your email content is not used for model training.
Privacy & securityWhere can I read the privacy policy?+
On the Privacy page of this site, and at the canonical policy URL linked in the extension listing.

AI.Reply drafts locally into your compose box and processes only the thread you're viewing. If your employer restricts browser extensions, check your IT policy first.
